The Cooper Hewitt Garden Party

This week was the week for garden parties and between the MoMA’s Party in the Garden, the Central Park Conservancy’s Taste of Summer, and Cooper Hewitt’s Garden Party, I had to go with Hewitt. The whole soirée benefits the design museum and they couldn’t have done a better job.

You enter through gorgeous black iron gates on the 90th street side of the museum. My friend and I were dressed to impressed – him in a white dress shirt and custom navy suit and I in a bright green dress with a matching green blazer paired with a gorgeous necklace from Aris.

The decor was on point as well:

After a cocktail or two, there were the opening remarks thanking the guests for their contributions.

At 8pm, they invited guests inside to have a private viewing of the exhibits. My friend and I had snuck in prior to this and found this gem:

For the rest of the time, we caught up over some wine and food. Very delicious food, that is. There were a variety of ‘salad cones’, lamb bites, and truffle honey fig burrata with toast along with a make-your-own-ceviche station.

Overall, it was a very well executed benefit. I just might have to make it a yearly tradition. 😉
