Last Thursday I was lucky enough to snag an invite to Miista‘s pop-up launch in the Bowery. For those of you who haven’t yet heard of Miista, it is a footwear brand to watch. They specialize in well-crafted elegant designs – shoes that likely pair well with your existing wardrobe. It was essentially a shoe-lover’s paradise.

I also noticed that they were bringing back the grandma shoe in a very big way with low-heeled, square-toed numbers that seemed much more fashion forward than a rounded-tie shoe. Yet, they added some spice, such as this orange stripe and not-quite-so-square heel:
After we had a moment to pursue the shoe selection, they brought in a band by the name of The Shacks, whose smooth melodies set the perfect cool-girl vibe:
